There’s no doubt that skin care is on the top of every girl’s priorities. However, it may become rather expensive pretty quickly. All the make up products, creams, oils, gels… Well, this month we are coming up with a cheaper fix for our skin: homemade facial masks.

  1. BANANA + HONEY MASK

Why does it work? Banana moisturizes your skin, making it softer. Honey gets rid of acne and blemishes.

Recipe: Pick a medium-sized banana and mash it up, so you get a smooth mass. Add one spoonful of honey, mix it all up, and apply. Leave for 20 min, then remove with warm water.

      2. PLAIN YOGURT MASK

Why does it work? Yogurt simply cleanses and shrinks your pores.

Recipe: Apply plain yogurt on your face. Leave it for 15 min, then rinse it off.

3. YOGURT + LEMON JUICE + HONEY

Why does it work? Yogurt cleanses your skin. Lemon juice revitalizes it and reduces blemishes. Lemon juice is also known as a natural remedy for acne scarring. Additionally, honey gets rid of skin inflammation and acne.

Recipe: Mix plain yogurt (3 spoonfuls) and lemon juice (1-2 spoonfuls) and honey (1 spoonful) and apply on your face. Rinse it off after 15 min.

4. YOGURT + CUCUMBER

Why does it work? Regardless of the skin type, this facial mask is perfect for the summer. Plain yogurt moisturizes your skin, but, more interestingly, fights sunburn and skin discoloration. Cucumber relaxes your skin and cools it down.

Recipe: Make a puree using a peeled cucumber and 2 spoonfuls of plain yogurt. Apply to skin and leave it for 15-20 min. Rinse it off. If you lost all the puree making equipment in your house applying cucumber slices mixed with plain yogurt would also work.
