I often wonder whether I’m the only one who grows a sweet tooth every once in a while. That “once in a while” usually takes place in gloomy rainy afternoons in November… Buying buckets of hot chocolate may turn to be pretty costly (and unhealthy, I guess), so I’m always fond of homemade ways of satisfying my passion for sweetness.

Here is one of my new faves:

Homemade Bounty Chocolate Bar

What do we need?

1/2 double cream

3 cups of desiccated coconut

3/4 cup caster sugar

Dark chocolate bar (the original recipe says dark chocolate, but if you are a fan of milk chocolate, go for it)

2 spoons honey

Mix the double cream, desiccated coconut and caster sugar in a bowl. Then mould the mass into bar-resembling pieces. Place the mini-bars in the fridge for one hour. Melt the chocolate in the microwave (2.5 – 3 min) or using steam (place the bowl with chocolate on the pot with boiling water. The chocolate melts thanks to the steam coming from the pot). Add the honey. Take the mini-bars and coat them with chocolate (either using a spoon or placing the mini-bar in the chocolate bowl). Leave the bounty bars in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Enjoy!!! 😀
